Setting of Landscape Plants

Is the Setting of Landscape Plants License what I need in Alabama?

The Setting of Landscape Plants License is required by the State of Alabama Law of those individuals who will be installing plants materials for a fee.  A landscape planter is a person who engages in actually setting of landscape plants.  Such a person shall have adequate knowledge and ability to perform cultural, pruning, and other practices necessary to establish and maintain landscape plants.

What does the SLP class cover?

  • Review of the State of Alabama Regulations related to Professional Services in Alabama.
  • Review the requirements to properly set plants in the landscape.
  • Review the maintenance requirements for plant materials.
  • Review the math components associated with landscape plant setting and maintenance tasks.

 

Where can I obtain the study materials?

What a great idea!  For the most successful class experience, you should obtain the study materials before attending class so that you may spend some time reviewing the materials.  The study materials can be downloaded from the Alabama Extension website by clicking here.

What is the cost and where do I sign-up?
