Better Basics Fairfield Hope Center
The AGITC is partnering with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries,USDA, US Forest Service and the Green Industry Associations to provide forestry, landscaping, gardening and other service learning to the Center's students. 
Properly called the Better Basics Fairfield Hope Center, the project is funded by the State Department of Education over a five year period. Additional funding comes from donations and a USDA/ Department of Agriculture Specialty Crops Grant.
The K-8 students will be given lots of exercise, tutoring, enrichment and gardening with the help of a professional, friendly staff from 3:00 - 6:00 PM each school day.
The major partners are Better Basics, Inc., Fairfield Board of Education and the City of Fairfield.
